School administrators say school safety is their priority [Video]

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Georgia authorities credit Centegix with saving lives at Apalachee High School on Wednesday. Clinton School District has used Centegix since 2019. East Tennessee administrators say security will always be a priority.

LeighAnn Bonesteel is entering her ninth year as the principal of South Clinton Elementary School and her 21st working in Clinton’s school district. Bonesteel said her job involves many things, but above all, it’s about creating a home away from home.

“My favorite part of the day is being outside greeting kids in the morning on the sidewalk. It’s important to me to learn every kid’s name,” she said.
