KENNER, La. (WGNO) — City of Kenner officials are working with government agencies to perform field assessments, helping residents to get the maximum available assistance after over 500 homes were flooded due to Hurricane Francine.
According to a release from City of Kenner leaders, officials with GOHSEP, FEMA, SBA and Jefferson Parish are conducting the assessments with Kenner’s Emergency Operations as the number of flooded homes in the city has climbed to around 515.
The intent of these assessments is to ensure that both Kenner and Jefferson Parish as a whole will meet the threshold for federal assistance and receive as much aid as possible.
