Meet the Cardile Fireworks family behind seven decades of pyrotechnics [Video]

For seven decades, the Cardile family has been the driving force behind the mesmerising fireworks displays that have become synonymous with the Perth Royal Show. 

This year, the family has promised to surpass all expectations and deliver a spectacle that will leave attendees in awe.

Originally from Italy, their pyrotechnic passion has been passed down through generations.

Rob Cardile began working with his father at 14.

“I’d come after school, wait all day for home time to come to the show to help Dad,” he said.

The art has changed a lot since then.

“Fireworks have changed in terms of how we perform, at night on the arena we don’t have a person going along and lighting them physically, the computer takes care of that,” he said.
