East Texas artist creates ‘everlasting flower’ through crocheting [Video]

JACKSONVILLE, Texas — February means Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and everyone’s looking for something special to give to our special someone. Well, one young entrepreneur in East Texas has figured out a way to make flowers last forever.

Artist Evelin Garcia, of Jacksonville, said she loved the idea of flowers, but never liked how fast they die.

Through her creativity and skills, she has designed beautiful crochet flowers that have become a local hit. Something that started as a hobby for Garcia has now turned into a business.

“January of 2023, I decided to make a Valentine’s posts, saying that I was taking orders. And I think I got maybe almost over 30 orders during that time,” Garcia said.
