Dingley Press employees evacuated after printing press catches fire [Video]

Dingley Press employees were evacuated from the printing company’s building in Lisbon after a printing press caught fire Monday morning, according to officials.Lisbon Fire Chief Craig Bouchard said the fire was reported shortly after 9 a.m. and that nearly a dozen fire vehicles from Lisbon and surrounding communities responded to Dingley Press.No injuries were reported in connection with the fire, according to Bouchard.Most employees have been sent home for the day with the exception of critical maintenance employees, who need to inspect the printing press that caught fire.”I’m in my third week here, so this is my first here. But as I understand the history, it is not common but it does happen on occasion,” Bouchard said.The section of Lisbon Street near Dingley Press, which is part of Route 196, was closed to traffic until about noon.Dingley Press was founded in Lewiston nearly 100 years ago. Steve has touched so many lives! He is in his 45th year as a Math Teacher!!! Steve graduated from Utah State and has a Masters from UNLV. He has coached for over 35 years as a Head Basketball and Baseball Coach as well as a varsity assistant in Football, at Las Vegas and Utah. Steve is so dedicated to his students, he attends most home games as many sports and activities as he can! He is retired from coaching but works at all home football games as the head chainsman. He also works all home basketball keeping stats and the scorebook. Steve has 5 children and 13 grandchildren.
