Dingley Press employees were evacuated from the printing company’s building in Lisbon after a printing press caught fire Monday morning, according to officials.Lisbon Fire Chief Craig Bouchard said the fire was reported shortly after 9 a.m. and that nearly a dozen fire vehicles from Lisbon and surrounding communities responded to Dingley Press.No injuries were reported in connection with the fire, according to Bouchard.Most employees have been sent home for the day with the exception of critical maintenance employees, who need to inspect the printing press that caught fire.”I’m in my third week here, so this is my first here. But as I understand the history, it is not common but it does happen on occasion,” Bouchard said.The section of Lisbon Street near Dingley Press, which is part of Route 196, was closed to traffic until about noon.Dingley Press was founded in Lewiston nearly 100 years ago.
