ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The light that once shone down on the ACU Crutcher Scott Baseball field will now illuminate another part of Abilene’s history.
ACU’s baseball is currently undergoing renovations, and one part of that is getting new stadium lights. To prevent the lights from going to waste, Corey Ruff, associate vice president of operations for ACU, said they donated the lights to the Abilene Preservation League as part of a project still in the works on Highway 80.

“These lights have been a big part of a lot of great moments and the history of ACU baseball. It’s good to see them kind of shine on a new project here in town and give back to the community in a different way,” Ruff said.
