Carrot Recall Update As Whole Foods Products Get Most Serious Risk Level [Video]

After a selection of carrot products were pulled from shelves at Whole Foods Market last month, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has now assigned it’s most serious safety classification to the recall.

It comes after Grimmway Farms recalled some of its organic whole and baby carrot products which are thought to affect 19 brand across the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada. This includes F&S Fresh Foods who distributed two products containing the contaminated produce to the organic grocery chain.

Newsweek contacted Whole Foods Market, F&S Fresh Foods and Grimmway Farms for comment via email.

Why It Matters

The voluntary recall, which affected Organic Carrot Sticks and Organic Carrots & Celery, was announced by F&S Fresh Foods on November 20.
