SUPERIOR TWP. (WWJ) — An investigation is underway after an apparent home explosion in Washtenaw County on Wednesday.
Authorities tell WWJ it happened around noon at a home near Frains Lake Road and Plymouth Road.
Marc Breckenridge, communications director with Huron Valley Ambulance, told WWJ it was a house fire with multiple explosions.
The homeowner was taken to the hospital and was said to be in stable condition. Authorities did not release any information about the homeowner.
The scene remained active around 6:30 p.m. as crews from multiple departments were still working to extinguish the fire.
There’s been no word on what caused the fire and explosions.
