Wausau Water Walkers will be creating waves in a new location this summer [Video]

RIB MOUNTAIN, Wis. (WSAW) – The tides are changing for the Wausau Water Walkers. After years of performing at D.C. Everest Park, the ski group is moving.

Starting in June, the group will perform their show at Bluegill Bay Park in the Rib Mountain area.

“There’s a sandbar in the middle of the river that we were always fighting. The channel is only 250 feet wide at D.C. Everest and at Bluegill it’s 600 feet wide, so we have a lot more space that we can use at Bluegill,” Wausau Water Walkers Team President Joe Nagrant said. “There’s a lot more space for boaters to get around us.”

The ski show keeps growing each year and the space in front of D.C. Everest Park no longer works for what they want to accomplish.
