Rivermen coach thanks fans for SPHL Presidents Cup win [Video]

PEORIA (25News Now) — It’s an exciting day for the River City. Hundreds of fans will take to the streets of downtown Peoria to celebrate the Rivermen’s Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) President’s Cup win.

The celebratory parade will step off at 5:30 p.m. Friday, starting at the Gateway Building before traveling up Main Street to Jefferson Avenue.

The parade will end at the Peoria Civic Center Exhibit Hall A-B, where a cup celebration will follow.

At no charge, fans will be able to attend and watch the on-stage ceremony with the team, where Peoria native and Rivermen captain Alec Hagaman will present the President’s Cup.

Rivermen Coach, Jean-Guy Trudel said he couldn’t be more thankful for the support from their fans this past season.
