Veterans group cleans debris from home, says it was left by Avista [Video]

SPOKANE, Wash. – Veterans Community Response is asking the public for volunteers on Friday and Saturday to clean up trees from the yard of a Vietnam War veteran. The organization claims that the debris was left by Avista.

The community group states that 75 hours of cleanup has already been conducted in the veteran’s yard.

“In November, Avista cut down numerous large pines that they deemed unsafe for their power lines. They left the debris scattered throughout the property’s front and back yard,” Veterans Community Response said.

Volunteers will be provided protective equipment and begin work at 9 am both days. According to the veterans group, Avista will also be on site during the volunteer effort.
