Stray puppy finds forever home, helps his new parents get engaged [Video]

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV/Gray News) – In just 10 weeks of life, a French bulldog puppy has gone from homeless and alone on the streets to helping his new mom and dad get engaged.

Jason Stolz, who works in adoption services at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, had been trying to figure out how to propose to his longtime girlfriend, Julia Proper, for the last year. The two met online three years ago, and they both say they knew they would get married after a road trip to the Pacific Northwest early in their relationship.

“It was at that moment I knew this was the one, and we were going to be together forever,” Stolz told KKTV reporter Lindsey Grewe.

Falling in love was easy – the perfect proposal, harder – until a tiny French bulldog named Banjo came into the couple’s lives.
