Sevier Co. leaders gather for groundbreaking ceremony on Kodak library project [Video]

KODAK, Tenn. — On Tuesday, Sevier County leaders gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on a new library facility in the Kodak area.

The Sevier County library system previously received a $200,000 state grant to support the project. Crews will build a new 11,000-square-foot library facility, providing around 2,000 square feet of meeting space and a new space to help meet the community’s technological needs. There will also be a dedicated children’s area to help support young learners in Sevier County.

Currently, the library is operating out of a small building in Kodak. The new facility is 20 years in the making, and library leaders said they expect it to open sometime in the summer of 2025.
