City leaders, tourism officials, and restaurant owners are excited about the grand opening ceremony of the Ruby Slipper on Canal.
The restaurant was forced to close after the tragic hard rock hotel collapse that killed three construction workers and deeply affected this neighborhood.
But now the newly renovated space is bringing a much-needed burst to the local economy on this corner of Canal.
