RCSD: Man shoots at construction workers after feeling his dog was disrespected [Video]

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) arrested a man accused of shooting at construction workers after he felt one of them disrespected his dog.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Rockyknoll Drive at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday where they met with the victims at a different location near where the shooting took place.

The victims told deputies they were working construction when a man, identified as Deontra Jones, 25, went into his home and fired off a shot from the front porch after getting into a verbal altercation.

Deputies said Jones then went to the window that was facing the workers and fired another round from the residence.

The victims then left the area to seek safety.

Jones was arrested and taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center without further incident after deputies were able to negotiate with. He was charged with pointing and presenting and breach of peace of a high …
