Plane Passenger Upgraded to First Class Stunned by Seatmate’s Behavior: ‘Really Odd’ [Video]

A frequent flyer has shared her “awkward experience” when an upgrade to first class provoked confusion and frustration from a fellow passenger.

The 26-year-old traveler, aka Reddit user Ok_Hunter_4558, was flying home from a work trip via United Airlines on Jan. 25.

After receiving an upgrade on the first leg of the journey, the original poster (OP) was seated in 7A for her next flight, just missing another upgrade. However, just before departure, a gate agent approached and offered a last-minute move to first class.

Not Pleased

The offer was immediately accepted, but the passenger seated in 7C was not pleased.

Instead of allowing the upgraded flyer to exit, the “perfectly mobile” woman aged in her 50s began questioning why she was not also eligible for an upgrade, the OP said.
