(Video above was produced in 2019 when Roach was one of several women missing in the area) On Tuesday, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office posted about the search for justice in Roach’s case. It read: “Today marks six years since Faith Roach was last seen. Six years since she has been home. Six years since her family has seen her smile, heard her laugh, or given her a hug. These six years have given OCSO tips, suspects, and arrests; but no justice or closure for her family. Faith’s family deserves both justice and closure. Faith’s missing persons case has received national media attention, and yet we are still missing THE piece to be able to provide closure and justice. OCSO continues to work each tip we receive regarding Faith’s case. We hope to discover the missing piece. If we continue to comb through old evidence with new technology, have fresh eyes review the case, and continue to work as a team along with citizen reports and tips maybe we will find the missing piece soon. Faith was last seen on February 4, 2019 in the area of Corey Road and Coffee Road in Walhalla. If you think you have seen or saw Faith during that time or anytime after, please call the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office at 864-638-4111.”Arrests made in connection with Roach’s case Sheriff Mike Crenshaw announced in September 2022 that two people have been arrested in connection with Roach’s case. Shianna Jade Turner, 19, is charged with obstruction of justice and misprision of a felony. The arrest warrant for Turner said between May 3 and May 24, Turner failed to produce evidence or a known felony, knowing such evidence exists. The warrant did not say what that evidence was. Based upon evidence gathered during our investigation into the missing person case involving Faith Roach, investigators learned that Turner withheld evidence and did not disclose or produce that evidence to Investigators at the time she was asked about it, says Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw. Based upon probable cause, investigators obtained arrest warrants against Turner. Markus Walters is also charged in the missing person case.An arrest warrant for Walters says he is charged with perjury for “corruptly swear falsely and materially that he was present during the commission of a crime and that he had advance knowledge of a conspiracy to commit said crime.”The warrant said the perjury happened on Aug. 22, 2022. Crenshaw also spoke about Kevin Maler’s connection to the case. He said during an investigation into Roach’s disappearance, investigators determined Maler was responsible for the 2019 death of Kevin Craig. Craig was found dead in May 2019 at a home on Craigsville Drive near West Union.According to Crenshaw, Maler killed Craig because Craig had information about Roach’s disappearance. Crenshaw did say Maler is considered a person of interest in Roach’s disappearance. For more on that Maler’s murder charge for Craig’s death, click here.
