PORTLAND, Maine (WMTW) – The weather is turning colder, and you now have a new way to get from Maine to Florida.
Breeze Airways started new service Wednesday from the Portland International Jetport to Sarasota-Bradenton.
The seasonal service was announced in August.
The flights will be on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Sarasota is is about a hour and a half away from the Red Sox’s Spring Training home.
Breeze already offers more nonstop destinations from Portland than any other carrier.
Earlier this year, the airline started seasonal service between Portland and Westchester County/White Plains, New York.
