JACOBY CRISP IS CHARGED WITH AIDING AND ABETTING RAMON ALSTON, WHO ESCAPED FROM CUSTODY LAST WEEK. HE IS CURRENTLY SERVING A LIFE SENTENCE FOR MURDERING A ONE YEAR OLD IN 2015. HE’D BEEN AT THE HOSPITAL LAST WEEK FOR A ROUTINE APPOINTMENT WHEN HE ESCAPED. DEPUTIES CAPTURED AND ARRESTED ALSTON FRIDAY MORNING AT A HOTEL IN KANNAPOLIS, AND THEN LATER THAT DAY ARRESTED CRISP AT HER HOME IN BURLINGTON. ONE OF THE SUSPECTS CHARGED IN CONNECTION TO A FIRE THAT KILLED A LEXINGTON FIRE CAPTAIN WILL ALSO APPEAR IN COURT TODAY.
