Man charged after Milwaukee mother was found dead in the trunk of her car [Video]

The husband of a mother of 10 has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide and bail jumping. 41-year-old Jerrod Stewart was charged in the case Tuesday. Tomitka Stewart, 41, was last seen April 14 near 10th and Center streets before her body was found in the trunk of her car on April 17 near 29th Street and Glendale Avenue. The autopsy mentioned in court documents said Tomitka was stabbed 49 times and sustained blunt-force trauma to the head.The criminal complaint tied Jerrod to the case through a GPS monitoring device and surveillance video. Cameras at North Division High School captured Tomitka’s red Dodge Avenger parked near 12th and Clarke streets at 7:18 p.m. on April 14, close to where she was last seen.
