TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — Someone robbed an elderly woman at gunpoint Monday morning in Tupelo.
This happened at a home on Chestnut Street.
Robi Gutierrez, 68, said a man knocked on her door at approximately 10:30 and asked if she needed yard work done.
She declined and went back inside. She said the man kicked her door, armed with a gun and demanded money.
“He said, ‘Give me your money and I won’t hurt you.’ Well, so I gave it to him. I opened my wallet and he grabbed it. He turned around and grabbed my two phones and he already had my pistol. He said, ‘Don’t look for your pistol because I got it.’”
Gutierrez said the man stole $296, her pistol and warned her not to follow him.
