Police said private, public, and municipal property was vandalized with the red spray paint earlier this week.
LISBON, Maine — Lisbon residents woke up earlier this week to quite the surprise. Several properties, commercial and residential, were vandalized with red spray paint.
“We got up on Tuesday morning, and my wife came out to go to work a few minutes before I did, and she came right back into the house and said, ‘Somebody painted the front door,'” Steve Yenco, whose home was vandalized, said.
Lisbon police said their investigation includes reports of similar vandalism to private, public, and municipal properties.
Lt. Jeffrey Picard said the department received several complaints Tuesday morning about the vandalism, which police suspect happened overnight Monday or in the early morning hours.
Yenco said police told him that kids or teens were believed to be responsible.
