Daniels is four months removed from being drafted second overall by the Commanders out of LSU. He’s done everything that’s been asked of him. His work ethic has been lauded by the coaching staff and his teammates. In his first one-on-one interview of training camp, Daniels told me being the face of the franchise is something he’s ready for. He knows the fan base is starved for a winner, and starved for stability, considering Daniels will be the eighth straight different starting QB for Washington in week 1 games. 

“I prepare my body, and stuff like that, to be able to go out there and endure 17 games,” the quarterback said. “I’m still learning but it’s a process.”
