Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) – Greenlight Networks is expanding its fiber-optic internet service into the City of Tonawanda, with 5,500 homes set to be connected to the network. Utility pole work is underway in the neighborhoods between Two Mile Creek Road and Young Street, with cable installation starting shortly. Service is expected to begin in early February. Greenlight is in more than 30,000 homes already in Buffalo-Niagara.
Kenmore Mercy Hospital has been named a Top General Hospital by the Leapfrog Group, a national watchdog group that collects safety data from hospitals across the country. The honor is seen as one of the hardest to earn for American hospitals, with 2,400 hospitals considered.
