Far east Indianapolis fire displaces 4 adults, 1 child [Video]

IFD said the fire broke out shortly before 5:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of Biscayne Road, which is near 38th and Post, on the far east side of Indianapolis.

INDIANAPOLIS — Four adults and one child were displaced after a house fire early Saturday morning.

According to a social media post from the Indianapolis Fire Department, shortly before 5:30 a.m. on April 6, firefighters were called to a home in the 3500 block of Biscayne Road. That is near 38th Street and Post Road on Indy’s far east side.

Firefighters saw smoke coming out of the home as they arrived. IFD said firefighters made an “aggressive” attack on the fire and were able to get the blaze under control. They did not say how long that took.

No injuries were reported, but four adults and one child are now without a home.

IFD said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
