Escape to the Country buyer highlights ‘challenge’ despite hefty 1m budget [Video]

One couple on Escape to the Country found themselves in a predicament during Wednesday’s show.

Wanting to relocate from London, couple Craig and Ye Soe wanted to find somewhere more rural in the Essex countryside.

With a generous budget of £1 million, the duo gave BBC host Ginny Buckley a list of requirements.

They wanted a four-bedroom property with an annexe for Craig’s mum and outbuildings for work.

As their search began, they were taken to their second property, a large Georgian farmhouse set within seven acres.

Initially, the pair were thrilled with the large home as Ye Soe said: “Let’s go, I can’t wait to see inside.”

However, the traditional features throughout didn’t seem to go down as well as Ginny had planned.
