Early voters can cast ballots starting tomorrow [Video]

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – Tomorrow, Feb. 20, voters will be able to cast their ballots at the polls for the March Primary.

Voters will choose who will represent each party for their positions such as State Representative and County Attorney.

A political expert said its important everyone exercises their right to vote.

During the 2023 Primary Elections, 18 percent of Texans didn’t vote.

The main reason is due to lack of knowledge of candidates or feeling as if their vote doesn’t matter.

Dr. Steve Garrison Professor of Political Science at MSU said voters should research each candidate and see if their values align.

“When you start seeing maybe a candidate that’s unwilling to go into public meetings, spaces, or townhalls, or sit on a debate stage or something like that would be the first clue that somebody is not willing to do their overall job,” Garrison explained.
