Schools in Beverly, Gloucester and Marblehead will not hold classes for another day on Friday, as negotiations continue Thursday to get students back into the classrooms.One district said extracurricular activities like football would go on as scheduled despite an initial call to cancel them.On Thursday afternoon, a court imposed a fine on Marblehead teachers. A court ordered fines for Gloucester and Beverly educators on Wednesday.Teachers strikes are illegal in Massachusetts. The fines begin at $50,000 and increase by $10,000 each day.For the fourth day, Beverly teachers stood out curbside instead of in their classrooms.
