Charlotte-based app helping neighbors save time, money booking home care services [Video]

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Spring has sprung and with that comes the need for spring cleaning around the house.

Two Charlotte dads put their heads together to create an app designed to save homeowners time and money by connecting neighborhoods with local businesses for home care services.

“My co-founder and I were complaining about how hard it was to find a local business for services around the house,” co-founder Teddy Fitzgibbons said. “Constantly trying to…get local recommendations, understand which reviews are real, which weren’t.”

He said it was out of that inconvenience, that the idea for the app StreetFair was born.

“You join your neighborhood and then you can see which businesses your neighbors have already used, and also which services or which service providers are scheduled to be in your neighborhood,” he said. “And then you can join in on those services that are already happening.”
