SHE SAYS SHES STILL IN SHOCK AFTER HEARING ALLEN WAS FIRED FROM THE TEAM. I SAW IT ON FACEBOOK THIS MORNING. I DID NOT EVEN KNOW IF IT WAS TRUE. I HAD TO ASK MY HUSBAND BECAUSE I COULDNT BELIEVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEASON THEY COULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS. OTHER FANS SAY IT COULD HAVE BEEN AN EASY CHOICE FOR THE TEAMS OWNERS. I THINK IT WAS A TOUGH DECISION. HOPEFULLY IT WAS THE RIGHT DECISION. CHRISTOPHER COOK MEYER SAYS. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE SEEN THIS COMING A MILE AWAY, GIVEN THE TRACK RECORD AND THE POOR PERFORMANCE CHANGES HAD TO BE MADE AND USUALLY WHEN YOURE TALKING ABOUT A SHIP AND YOU KNOW ITS CAPTAIN, IF THE SHIP IS NOT BEING STEERED RIGHT, YOU GET RID OF THE CAPTAIN COOK MEYER SAYS, IS JUST THE NATURE OF THE BUSINESS. THE THEME ON THE NORTH SHORE IS SIMILAR TO THAT ON THE SOUTH SHORE. EVERYBODY IS HOPEFUL THAT THIS WILL SPARK A NEW ERA. BUT THE QUESTION REMAINS IS, WAS THE FIRING ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY? Anchorage School Board holds first meeting after announcing schools considered for rightsizing [Video]

The Anchorage School District held a work session Monday to further discuss the rightsizing initiative, followed by a board meeting in which many students and parents spoke in opposition to the plan. The session was the first opportunity for the public to voice their opinions after the announcement was made Friday that seven elementary schools were being considered for closure, consolidation or repurposing.

Election officials are reminding voters of what they can expect when visiting their polling place.It’s been a busy Election Day eve for Conway Belangia, the director of Greenville County elections. He’s working to get polling places ready for voters tomorrow.”It’ll be a busy day in most polling places even though we had a tremendous turnout in early voting. Only about half the people that we expect to vote voted in early voting. So, the other half will be voting tomorrow,” Belangia said. If you were given an absentee or a mail-in ballot, you cannot vote in person on Election Day. You should bring those to your county election office.”You have to deal with that absentee ballot. You didn’t receive an absentee ballot. And then you’ve got some options to go vote at your polling place,” Belangia said.Despite your excitement about casting a vote for any candidate, wearing any clothing with a candidate’s information is against state law.”We just ask people, you know, do the right thing, do not wear political information to the polls. That saves us a lot of hassle,” Belangia said.Belangia also reminds voters that they can not take photos of themselves in the voting booth with their ballot.”You can’t take a selfie of your ballot. That’s illegal sleds put that information out.
