OROVILLE, Calif. – The HVAC unit at the Oroville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1747 was gutted by a thief early Wednesday morning.
Volunteers at the VFW say that around 4 a.m. on Wednesday morning, pictures were captured of a person outside of their building.
When the volunteers arrived later that morning at the VFW, they noticed that the only HVAC system for the building had been completely gutted.
“It breaks my heart. This place is my second home,” said Gaylene Pierce, the Canteen Manager at the Oroville VFW Post 1747. “I love this place and its just heartbreaking.”
