BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Artificial intelligence, or AI, has rapidly become a prominent part of every day life.
From smartphones to online services, the technology is constantly evolving and finding new ways to assist its users. While some view AI with apprehension, experts believe embracing this technology is essential for navigating the future.
Mark Ciampa, a Western Kentucky University professor who specializes in AI, explained that it can be seen as a tool for creation and prediction.
“I like to think of AI as doing two things that humans like to do,” he said. “One is to create, and the other is to predict.”
Just like the internet in its early days, AI can initially seem daunting. However, Ciampa emphasized the importance of learning to incorporate AI into our lives.
