WATCH: Area bar included in Super Bowl commercial [Video]

CARLETON, Mich. (WTVG) – An area business will be featured in a commercial shown during the Super Bowl.

A shot of Carleton Hotel Bar in Monroe County will be shown during a Budweiser ad during one of the most-watched television events of the year. You can watch the ad in the attached video player.

The bar’s owner John Kaczmarek told ABC affiliate WXYZ in Detroit he had no idea about the commercial and Budweiser never reached out. He heard about it from a customer who saw it online.

“I wish there was more to it — it was just by chance,” Kaczmarek told the Detroit station. He said it was uplifting for the community.

Customers said the business is a place where everyone knows your name, and they are getting a kick out of moment in the spotlight — no matter how short.
