GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — After months of investigative work, the Grand Rapids Police Department said they have seized more than $1 million in cash from a drug trade operation in the city.
GRPD said they executed a search warrant at a home in the city on Sept. 3 and seized nearly $1.2 million, a kilogram of cocaine, multiple vehicles and an illegal gun. A man was also arrested at the home.
“The GRPD Vice Unit has been working diligently on this investigation for several months,” said Chief Eric Winstrom. “This seizure represents a significant disruption to the drug trade in the Grand Rapids metro area, to the benefit and safety of everyone in our community.
