Sheriff Waters said he received numerous complaints that impacted people’s “quality of life.”
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Ahead of the final town hall meeting with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff T.K. Waters told First Coast News he is planning on expanding their traffic unit.
Waters shared how in the previous town hall meetings, the public shared concerns involving traffic, speeding, racing and reckless driving. Something he described as “quality of life” issues.
“You know, people leave their home in the morning to go to work, whether it’s traffic jams, whether it’s excessive speeding,” Sheriff Waters explained. “All those things affect just about everyone and that’s what you hear about.”
Waters said the other topics constituents brought up included ways to fight violent crime and JSO’s leadership.
