TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) – The Alabama Crimson Tide started preparing months ago for their first football game with Western Kentucky, and so did the business owners hoping to benefit from the first home game in Tuscaloosa.
It’s fair to say everyone has the same game plan – prepare early, but be ready to pivot at the last minute, if necessary.
World of Beer manager Will Turner is one of those restaurant managers who despises waiting until the very last minute to prepare. In fact, Turner says his team started three months ago to get ready for game one between Alabama and Western Kentucky.
“This town and this community – everybody is really amped up and really anxious for the season. We know what’s coming,” said Turner.
Only a few days away from kickoff, Turner spent long hours inside Bryant-Denny getting his seven World of Beer concession stands ready for Saturday.
