YORK, Neb. (KOLN) – In May of 2024, Emory Conrad graduated high school, and quickly saw an opportunity to be an entrepreneur.
She bought the business called Goody Pop in downtown York, and she’s now very busy producing unique popcorn flavors for the public.
We visited with Conrad at the store recently to find out more. “The store opened in 2019,” Conrad said. “It was originally opened and operated by Keith and Janeen Berg. Then in 2022, Keith and Janeen sold the business to their son and daughter-in-law Miles and Katie Berg. After about a year-and-a-half, they put it up for sale. I graduated high school, and took over Goody Pop. I worked here throughout high school. I decided the entrepreneurship was my path, and college wasn’t for me, and I went with Goody Pop.”
