Wildfire Resiliency Permit Center to close this month | FireWatch [Video]

JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. — After three and a half years, the Wildfire Resiliency Permit Center is set to close later this month. 

The Permit Center has processed building permits and distributed grant funding to home and business owners who were victims of wildfires in 2020. 

“The Center issued 1,381 expedited permits for rebuilding residential and commercial structures in unincorporated Jackson County,” the release said. “Of the permits issued, 552 were for single-family dwellings, manufactured homes and other residential structures, 69 were for commercial structures and seven were for RV parks.” 

The county also partnered with the Oregon Building Codes Division, which resulted in a grant program to rebuild homes and businesses.
