Why some Santa Rosa County drivers may experience intermittent lane closures [Video]

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Some Northwest Florida drivers may notice changes in their daily commutes as intermittent lane closures are scheduled to take place.

According to a county press release, the intermittent lane closures are set to begin on Sunday, Sept. 8 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Woodbine Road and Highway 90 intersection in Pace.

The work will include one turn lane off Highway 90 extending down to Woodbine Road to Limbaugh Lane, the release said. The map provided shows the area where work is set to take place.

The lane closures will happen as the Woodbine Intersection Improvement project works to do the following improvements:

The release said the project began in April 2024 and is expected to take 210 days to complete.
