NEW ALBANY, Ind. — A water-main break is causing possible service issues and traffic delays Tuesday morning in New Albany, Indiana.
At about 7 a.m., Indiana American Water reported a 6-inch cast iron water-main break in the 2200 block of State Street near the entrance of Home Depot.
Sections of State Street are closed and residents are being asked to avoid the area so crews can make repairs.
Several businesses and restaurants in the area are being affected by the water-main break, authorities say.
Indiana American Water estimates the issue will be resolved by 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
Officials say it’s possible some customers may experience low or no water pressure during the event.
