SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – Crews responded to a water main break on State Street in Springfield just before 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning, but it left an impact on the day for many in downtown as the day progressed.
While crews work to repair the road in front of the Roderick Ireland Courthouse, Rosemary Saccomani told us Springfield courts were closed on Wednesday, but will reopen on Thursday.
Staff working from home were able to accept filing and conduct some business, but many other proceedings have to be rescheduled.
“For the probate and family court any business that you had scheduled today, the court will reschedule those hearings,” she said. “If you had a restraining order abuse prevention order, those orders are still in effect for today, however, you should come in tomorrow and get that resolved.
