Volunteers help recover lost items for Park Fire survivors [Video]

COHASSET, Calif. – While the Park Fire, California’s fourth largest wildfire in history, is now contained, recovery is far from over.

Thousands of survivors, like Patti Conlin, are still working to clean up their properties and figure out what’s next in their rebuilding journey.

Conlin and her husband Ed lived in a manufactured home on 40 acres in a rural part of Cohasset in Butte County. However, after more than 15 years Patti and Ed’s home was destroyed during the first days of the Park Dire.

“Interesting story, I was in Michigan when the fire broke out at a family reunion,” Patti Conlin said.

Each day has been committed to paving a path forward.

“For me, it’s what step do you take next to do the next thing to get back to where you were before,” Conlin said.
