Vernon Kay discusses working for a ‘horrible’ previous boss

Vernon Kay has spoken out about a time he worked for a “horrible boss” who used to tell him off for taking regular naps on the job. While fronting his BBC Radio 2 show on Wednesday, the 50-year-old read out a message from a listener, who said she was trying to resist taking a nap while working from home.

In response, Vernon said that a recent report suggested that taking power naps is “good for your wellbeing” so therefore urged her to do it. While on the topic, the presenter told listeners that it reminded him of a previous job he had as a youngster where he was often caught out napping.
