An employee said the barber shop is out nearly $12,000 to replace a broken door and essential tools.

SEATTLE — A barbershop in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood is out thousands of dollars after someone broke into the business and stole most of its equipment early Saturday morning.

Shop owners said this isn’t the first time its been broken into.

Video from March 9, shows shards of glass scattered throughout The Singing Barber.

“So we’re looking at thousands of dollars’ worth of haircutting scissors that were just taken, thousands of dollars’ worth of haircutting clippers,” said Ashley Schoenberger, a hairstylist at The Singing Barber.

Schoenberger estimates the business lost nearly $12,000 by now having to replace the broken door and the essential tools that keep this local business running.

“Incidents like this stop me from being there for my clients, being there for myself, along with my coworkers,” said Schoenberger.
