The Texas Longhorns will turn to backup quarterback Arch Manning this weekend against Louisiana-Monroe. Starter Quinn Ewers is dealing with an oblique injury that he suffered last week against the University of Texas, San Antonio.

Manning took over for Ewers mid-game and didn’t skip a beat. After entering the game, Manning threw for 223 yards with four touchdowns through the air. The redshirt freshman also gained 53 yards on the ground, scoring one touchdown.
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian gave his thoughts on the team turning to Manning while Ewers recovers from injury.
