KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation said it is working to make sure people can more easily travel across the state during the Labor Day holiday.
It said from 12 p.m. on Aug. 30 to 6 a.m. on Sept. 3, construction crews would stop all lane closure activity on interstates and highways. That way, roads will operate at their maximum capacity as more drivers are expected to leave home for Labor Day festivities.
