“Give me my stuff back! This is not cool. They have no idea the damage they’ve done.”Austin Prauser saw his vintage bubblegum machine broken in his driveway on the 4400 block of State Line Road when he got home from work on Monday.”I thought, ‘What is going on?'” Prauser said.He then saw his back gate broken and his back door wide open.”I couldn’t believe someone got in my house. They took my collections, my motorcycle, my bass … I saved up for that,” he said. “I was worried my cats got out, but they’re OK.”He estimated he lost about $10,000 worth of items, including his crystal and wire-wound art creations, which took him months to complete.”Some things just can’t be replaced. I worked so hard on those. They even took the owl … that was the first piece I ever did,” he said.Kansas City Police Department’s crime tracker shows one other burglary in neighborhoods around Prauser’s home last Saturday.Prauser said Ring camera video showed three cars pulling into his driveway. He is a mechanic and said he can identify the vehicles.”A black Infiniti, a Ford economy car, and a white Audi SUV,” Prauser said.Police do not have any suspects at this time, and Prauser said he has no idea who the people on the video might be.Prauser said he is shocked this happened in his usually quiet neighborhood.”I don’t feel safe in my own home anymore,” he said.A GoFundMe has been set up to help Prauser replace his stolen items.
