AVON, CT (WFSB) – Two suspects were scheduled to face a judge for their roles in a South American Theft Group that broke into homes up and down the east coast, including in Connecticut.
Misael Palomino, 32, and 27-year-old Alexandria Bravo Valencia, were in Connecticut on a $500,000 bonds. Their court appearance was set for Thursday in Hartford.
The break-ins have been under investigation for the last five years.
The group was from Chile and came into the country on temporary visas, police said. They targeted affluent neighborhoods around the east coast to steal cash, jewelry, and other valuables.
