Steve Price has thrown his support behind the NSW government for forcing workers back into the office, claiming staff who work at home are only ‘pretending’ to do so.

The Project host made the comment on Monday night and questioned why it had taken so long for the state government to put the directive in place. 

Premier Chris Minns had hours earlier revealed that public servants would be required to return to the office full-time from Tuesday. 

‘No one should be able to work from home in grimy tracky dacks and put their feet up on the desk and go out the back and feed the dog when they’re supposed to be working,’ Price said.

Co-host Georgie Tunny questioned whether flexibility was important for workers, but Price again shut down the idea.
