The former president of the South Korean company which ran the airport where a plane crash killed 179 people has been found dead.
Police have ruled the death of Son Chang-wan—who lead the state-run Korea Airports Corporation from 2018 to 2022—an apparent suicide. Police have said there was no sign of an intrusion or evidence of murder in his home.
According to reporting from the New York Times, Son was not under investigation for the crash. Korea Airports Corporation told the outlet they do not have a statement on the death of Son, as it is a personal matter.
